In FileMaker 19, they’ve taken add-ons to a whole new level, now allowing developers to easily manage add-ons from within FileMaker, drag and drop 3rd party add-ons such as charts, kanban boards, photo galleries, and barcode generators. In that version, they were simply a choice of 10 or so predefined tables (phone numbers, attachments, etc.) that could be easily added to any layout and FileMaker would create the table, relationship and scripts necessary to interact with the new table.
